4/25/2023 0 Comments Triangle strategy demo review![]() I’m glad progress can carry over to the full game. I really like how Triangle Strategy handles exploration! This is totally different from say, Final Fantasy Tactics, which had you visit taverns and shops only by menu. There are exploration areas in the battle where players can look around towns (and a camp area to shop). The battles are not the only bit of gameplay the demo offers though. Also, the game points out when any enemy is weak to an attack or resistant. The blue area on a map is the safe zone too, while the red is where the enemy can get to you. For instance, the game will let you know, via lines, what enemies can attack you. Triangle Strategy has the best tactical battle system I’ve seen since the first Final Fantasy Tactics! In fact, the battles remind me a lot of FF Tactics but with some improvements. What about the actual gameplay though? How are the battles? If the full game has you continue to make decisions like the demo, then there is going to be a lot of replay value to Triangle Strategy! When you hit the big decision in Chapter 3, the game gets very interesting. As the demo progressed, I found myself liking the game’s characters more and becoming intrigued by the story. I just wanted to get to the next battle quickly. There are a lot of cutscenes in this demo.Īt first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the story. Though Triangle Strategy’s story might be even heavier than FF Tactics. There’s no Ivalice but just like the first Tactics, Triangle Strategy is heavy on story and one that looks like it’ll lead to a war. Triangle Strategy isn’t Final Fantasy Tactics but it’s pretty darn close. I finished the demo and thought I’d write up my thoughts on it. I checked out the demo and here are my thoughts on it.Ī new demo for Triangle Strategy is available now. A new demo was also announced for the game and released right after the Direct.
